Bet Shalom Messianic Assembly describes “our mission” in two words: Kingdom Purposes. What are Kingdom Purposes, you may ask?
The Great Commission
Yeshua gave his disciples the following commission,
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:18-20).
To the Jew first and also to the Gentiles
Thus, our mission is to make disciples, proclaiming the Good News to the Jew first and also to the Gentiles. We base our mission on Paul’s letter to the Romans in Romans 1:16. Bet Shalom also strives to equip believers. This comes from a ministry based on Hebraic roots, healing, and deliverance.
The Empowering of the Holy Spirit to Proclaim
We believe in the gifts and ministry of the Holy Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh) to empower us to preach the Gospel.
Yeshua said, “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth” (Acts 1:8).
One New Man
Additionally, it is through the Spirit that we are “all baptized into one body – whether Jews or Greeks” (1 Corinthians 12:13) thus creating “one new man…[reconciling] them both to God in one body through the cross” (Eph 2:15-16). It is Bet Shalom’s deepest desire to see all come to the realization and reconciliation that Yeshua is HaMashiach, Jesus the Messiah.
